Welcome to Women's Ink

I wish to show that tattoos can be and are, an enhancement, not a detriment, especially for women. I believe that this is an important point to make since in previous decades, women with tattoos were looked upon as a rare thing and often these women were looked down upon as having loose morals or being “low-classed.”

Today more and more women are choosing to get tattoos and they cover a broad spectrum of business women, doctors, lawyers and every profession in-between. Grandmothers are even choosing to be tattooed for the first time! Women are appreciating tattooing as the art form it is and realizing that they have as much right to be tattooed as a man. Actually, tattoos are becoming less stigmatized for both sexes, let alone for women.

Some people are fascinated by the sight of tattoos and the people who have them, so much, that total strangers may come up to you and ask about your tattoos or even touch them. Part of this is due to people being more comfortable with having tattoos that show as well as the amount of tremendous artists out there that leave a piece of actual art permanently inked on your skin. We now have choices that include having custom tattoos done with the client and artist creating lasting art together that fit both your body and your ideas for self expression. No longer is anyone stuck with just the traditional “flash” that used to be all that was available, which made some tattoos more cookie-cutter than individualized.

Women that have ink, be proud and loud and share your art! Send me pictures of your tattoos and I may post you on this website. Keep it clean, no nudity please as I don’t want to see that much of you and it won’t be posted.

Email me at: womens_ink@yahoo.com with your tattoo photo and your full name so I can credit you.

Let’s show everyone how beautiful women with tattoos are!
