Asian Themed Tattoos

Tattoo by James Vaughn - Straight A Tattoo

Asian styled tattoos are very popular with both men and women and can range from things as simple as Chinese or Japanese lettering, floral, Koi fish to more detailed figures. If you are going to get Chinese or Japanese lettering, be sure you know what the symbols truly mean and the correct directional placement prior to inking so you don't find yourself being laughed at by someone that understands the language. While the symbols look cool, you could have complete gibberish inked on you if you are not careful.

Dragons, fish, warriors, Geisha, masks are all popular items for ink that work well on men or women but tend to require more "space" to look good so be sure that you are committed to having tattoos that can be large. You see a lot of Asian themes for full sleeves and back pieces because of this.

Tattoos I Like

I have decided to show some tattoos that I have collected that I think are really cool, sexy, unusual or just found interesting.

Tattoo ideas abound and are only limited by your imagination, the skill of your tattoo artist and unfortunately, your pocketbook. The biggest problem I have found is that I like so many that I could be covered from shoulder to feet with tattoos and still not get all the ones that I like. Deciding on what and where are the most difficult decisions and I find myself envying those that are brave enough to be bold and go for it.

I hope you find these as interesting and inspirational as I did.

Women and Dragon Tattoos

Dragon tattoos used to be mostly a male dominated design. You didn't see very many women with them. Now more women are choosing this design from small ones to full on body tattoos.

Adding the cherry blossoms helps to make this a more feminine looking tattoo.

As you can see by these tattoos that depending on the style of your design and the addition of little details such as color choice, addition of flowers or other feminine details you can have a dragon tattoo that isn't masculine looking.
