Lower Back Tattoos

Photobucket

I think that lower back tattoos on women are cool and yes, sexy. This does not imply that all lower back tattoos on women are automatically "tramp stamps" or any other derogatory name. The lower back or the whole back is just an area that can be tattooed both on males and females, period, end of story.

We have probably all seen a few women that made really poor choices for a lower back tattoos especially the one that is on the internet that looks like a butterfly from far away but up close it is actually rather obscene. That is a person that made a bad choice that they will live with. How is she going to explain this tattoo to her children? But this type of stupidity does not make all lower back tattoos "tramp stamps" unless they are sexually graphic in design.

Here are some examples of lower back tattoos on women that are just cool.

As you can see by the above tattoos, there is nothing trashy or sexually explicit and should be viewed as what they are, nice tattoos. So don't let anyone discourage you from getting a lower back tattoo if that is what you want. Break the stereotype and get something that is well done and not suggestive and you will probably love it.

Side Tattoos

Side tattoos are becoming very popular with both men and women. This is a very touchy area of the body to have a large tattoo done as it is on the ribs and areas with more bone than muscle, tend to hurt more when tattooed. However, the results can be worth the discomfort if you can handle it.

Floral designs are very popular since this is a very feminine detail though some women prefer more stylized designs.

Stars are another design that women tend to chose and can be done as a larger tattoo with good results.

Asian themes are also popular.

Black work is also a choice that can be done in a tribal style or more "frilly" which both can be done well.

Side tattoos can also be designed for both the back and side, tying both areas into a very beautiful tattoo. I usually would not put a tattoo on site that shows this much of the person's buttocks but this is a very pretty tattoo showing how well this type can be done. I am assuming that most of the readers of this blog are adults and tattoo wearers so should not be offended. If you are, sorry but it is just a woman's behind. :-)

Side tattoos, as seen in these photos, can be as varied as the women that chose to have them. As I have stated before, take your time, talk to your tattoo artist and come up with an idea that fits your personality, likes and most importantly, fits your body.

Lower Back Tattoos

As these pictures show, they are NOT “tramp stamps” but beautiful tattoos that should be appreciated for the art an how well they fit the women that have them.

People need to get over the stigma of tattoos, particularly on women and just appreciate the art involved instead of making snap judgments on the morals of the wearer.

Shame on women that help to perpetuate the “tramp stamp” mentality as they are helping to continue the demeaning of women.

If a man can have a lower back tattoo, such as this, why is it not also a “tramp stamp?”

It is a beautiful piece of tattooing and just happens to be on the lower back. This area is perfect for tattoos and anyone whether male or female should be able to have a tattoo there and not have crude names attached to it.
Enjoy the art of tattooing and stop judging the wearer even though that is hard to do when people go overboard and have their faces tattooed or objectionable pictures tattooed on themselves.

Then you can question the reasoning behind such behavior and choices but get to know a person before judging them for being tattooed. And when you see a beautiful tattoo, appreciate the art of it, not look down on the wearer.
